If you have recently flashed an Android Pie (9.0) GSI on your Asus Zenfone Lite L1, you might have encountered a major bug: VoLTE is not working. This means you cannot make calls on LTE-only networks like Jio, even though your data might be working fine.

In this episode (Ep #6), I am going to show you how to permanently fix this issue using a simple patch. This method requires two files and a custom recovery like TWRP.

Prerequisites & Downloads Before we start, make sure you have:

1. Rooted Device: Your phone must have TWRP Recovery installed.
2. Files: Download the IMS APK and the VoLTE Patch Zip from the links below.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Install the IMS APK First, locate the IMS APK file you downloaded. Tap on it and install it just like any normal Android app. This app helps the system recognize the IMS service required for VoLTE.

Step 2: Boot into Recovery Mode After installing the APK, power off your phone. Boot into TWRP Recovery by holding the Volume Down + Power Button simultaneously (or use the Advanced Reboot menu if you have it enabled).

Step 3: Flash the VoLTE Patch

1. In TWRP, tap on the Install button.
2. Navigate to the folder where you saved the VoLTE Patch zip file.
3. Select the file and Swipe to Confirm Flash.
4. The installation will be quick. Once done, tap Reboot System.

Step 4: Verification

• Be Patient: The first boot might take a minute. Once the phone is on, wait for 3 to 5 minutes for the network signals to stabilize.
• Check Status Bar: You should now see the HD or VoLTE icon in your status bar.
• Test Call: Open your dialer and try calling a number (like 198 or a friend). If the call connects and stays on 4G, congratulations! You have successfully fixed VoLTE.
