Fix VoLTE on Android 10 GSI: Asus Zenfone Lite L1, Live L1 & L2 (Flashable Zip) || Solved: No VoLTE/4G Calling on Android 10 Custom ROMs (Asus Zenfone L1 Series) || How to Enable VoLTE on Asus Zenfone Lite L1 Running Android 10 GSI (Havoc OS 3.5)
Hey everyone, this is Kali from TechFanciers!
We have previously covered fixes for VoLTE on Android Pie GSIs, but those older patches unfortunately do not work on the newer Android 10 builds. If you have updated your Asus Zenfone Lite L1 (ZA550KL), Live L1, or Live L2 to an Android 10 GSI (like Havoc OS 3.5), you might have noticed that VoLTE calling is broken.
Today, I have a new flashable zip patch that fixes this issue completely. This fix is confirmed working on builds created on or after February 12th (from developer PHH).
Prerequisites Before we begin, make sure you have:
- Unlocked Bootloader & TWRP Recovery installed.
- The VoLTE Fix Zip File downloaded (Link below).
- Your device charged to at least 50%.

Installation Guide (Step-by-Step) Follow these steps carefully to flash the fix:
- Download the Zip: Download the patch file from the link above and save it to your phone’s storage or SD card.
- Reboot to Recovery: Restart your phone and boot into TWRP Recovery.
- Install the Patch:
- Tap on Install.
- Navigate to the folder where you saved the zip file.
- Select the file and swipe to flash it.
- Reboot System: Once the flashing is complete, tap on Reboot System.
- Wait for Boot: The first boot might take 1-2 minutes as the system updates the IMS settings.
Verification: Did it Work? Once your phone boots up:
- Look at the Status Bar. You should now see the VoLTE icon.
- Test Call: Open your dialer and try calling a number (like customer care). If the call connects and stays on 4G, the fix is successful!
Important Notes
- Havoc OS: In this video, I used Havoc OS 3.5, and the VoLTE icon appeared immediately.
- Descendant OS: I also tested this on Descendant OS. While the VoLTE icon did not appear in the status bar, VoLTE calls were working perfectly. So, always test by making a real call.
- This patch makes Android 10 GSIs much more stable and daily-driver ready for Indian users!
